HEALING LEAVES: Photography Using a Mixed-Media Approach and Painting
The series Healing Leaves started in the midst of the Covid pandemic (summer 2020) to express the artist’s hope in the healing of humanity. In many shamanic traditions—including Afro-Brazilian traditions—leaves are used to bless and restore health. Each leaf carries a mystery of enchantment. Healing Leaves is a work in progress in which Luz uses her knowledge as a biologist to create an artistic herbarium with photos, collages, and paintings of leaves.
